Disabling and Destroying the 10 Myths of Purpose
These many myths and misconceptions make finding and fulfilling one’s purpose(s) such a daunting, frustrating, and fruitless challenge for so many.
Thus, part of our quest in unraveling our purpose is to critically examine and systematically disable and dispose of these myths as we search for the real truth about purpose.
In piloting the Find and Fulfill Your Purpose book and program with numerous people, we found Myth #3: A purpose must be BIG, GRAND, and EPIC to really matter to be the most problematic for most people. As you’ll discover throughout the book, the little things matter even more so than the BIG things.
The Little Things are the BIG THINGS in God’s eyes!
Fortunately, our Near-Death Experiencer friends disable and destroy this common myth by saying that they learned in Heaven that the little things are the BIG THINGS!
“Today’s society has conditioned us to think that one must do big, wonderful, or grandiose endeavors for it to count or be of any value. Yet I came to realize that it is not what we accomplish here on Earth that promotes us to greatness, rather that greatness abides in any act we do, no matter how trivial, if done with deliberate love. There is no better greatness than this.” Deidre DeWitt-Maltby
“It’s the little things that you do. It’s the little things; the loving things. It’s not these grand, great, big, humongous things that people think they have to do in order to earn your way into Heaven because you can’t earn your way into Heaven no matter what you do. It’s the little things. It’s the smile you gave to someone whose life was really a mess. It’s the hand on the shoulder. It’s the sharing your toys when you were little. It’s the, ‘Here, you lost your sweater and you’re cold so here’s my sweater.’ It’s the little things. Things you don’t think would matter at all. That’s the stuff that matters.” Sharon Milliman
